Accessibility

Century 21 Plaza wants this site to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or turn off JavaScript. The target is WCAG 2.2 at level AA.

How the site is built

• Every page is delivered as complete HTML. Nothing on the site needs JavaScript to read, and forms and filters work without it.
• Every page has one heading structure, landmarks, a skip link, and visible focus on every control. Everything reachable with a mouse is reachable with a keyboard, in the order it appears.
• Type sizes are set in relative units and the layout reflows to narrow screens and high zoom without horizontal scrolling. Color contrast is tested by role in the build: body text, small text and links each clear the AA ratio on every background they appear on.
• Images carry descriptions. Where a photograph has not been supplied, the page shows a labeled placeholder rather than a decorative substitute.
• The map on listing pages is a visual aid. Everything it shows, including the address and the nearby facts, is also written on the page.
• Motion is limited to short transitions, and those are removed when the operating system asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

• Documents such as brochures and floor plans are supplied as PDFs by their authors and may not be tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will describe or send the contents in another form.
• No third-party audit has been carried out yet. The build is checked with automated tools and a keyboard run-through before each release, which finds many problems but not all of them.
